Located in Rockville, Maryland, the pantry at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital is on the third floor opposite the elevators and near the Evergreen Family Lounge and Neonatal Unit.

The kosher pantry at Shady Grove provides a rejuvenating space for local families after the birth of a child or when coping with the stress of a loved one's illness.

"Thank you for providing a 'haimeshe' atmosphere during our stay in the Mother Baby Unit and while our twins are in the NICU." -- note left in the comment box in BCGW's kosher pantry at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital.

Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. is one of the premier national institutions for children with serious illnesses. The hospital is well-known as a welcoming and warm institution that provides a supportive atmosphere for ill children. BCGW's pantry located on the third floor opposite the chapel and near the Cardia Care Unit mirrors that feeling of embrace and communal support, offering personalized care to Jewish patients whose extended stays there include the Sabbath and holidays.

"We wanted to thank you for the wonderful work you did creating the food pantry. We went to find it yesterday and it means so much to have a space like that. Plus the food choices are very generous. When [we] saw the food in the freezer [we were] so impressed and said it makes it helpful for patients staying in the hospital to have food they can actually eat. Plus we loved the iphone chargers, books… It is obvious how much thought went into the many details." -- Note signed from "a grateful mom and daughter" who used the kosher pantry at Children's National Medical Center.
